Since 1984, Kevin Murphy has been a freelance fashion hair stylist and has enjoyed huge variety in his career: Murphy’s work has been featured in film, television, music videos, fashion magazines and countless fashion parades. To better his styling and provide himself with the perfect products, Murphy developed and launched a line of styling products in 2003, known simply as KEVIN.MURPHY. He added shampoos, conditioners and treatments in 2005, and has just revamped the packaging, product formulations and added two new products in 2008. The most recent market conquered by Murphy is the United States, where the KEVIN.MURPHY range has just become the most successful brand start up ever (in terms of sales) in the beauty sector. Murphy’s success has not been lost on his peer either - he was awarded the prestigious Master Award at the 2007 Australian Hair Fashion Awards in Sydney, been Hair Director at Motorola Melbourne Spring Fashion Week the last four years running and he continues to be one of the most highly sought after editorial and fashion hair stylists across the globe.
