The excitement is growing as
Hair Expo
season heats up.
Finalists for the Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Awards 2009 were announced at a gala event in Sydney’s Darling Harbour and the shortlist hosts some serious talent from Australia and New Zealand.

For the past 24 years, the Hair Expo Awards have never failed to highlight the work of some of the best hairdressers in the Australasian region in what is the longest running industry awards in the Southern Hemisphere.
A 20-strong panel of judges was given the mammoth task of sifting through 200 questionnaires and 147 photographic collections over two hectic days.
More than 250 from the hairdressing industry turned out to take a closer look at the photo shoots that made the final cut.

The ten finalists for the coveted Australian Hairdresser of the Year are:
2007 winner, Caterina DiBiase, Heading Out
2008 winner, Jayne Wild, Wild Life Hair
Sharon Blain, The Art of Hair
Frank Apostolopoulos, Biba
Joey Scandizzo, Rokk Ebony
Marcello Guerresi, Biba

The Hair Expo Awards finalists were announced at Sydney's Darling Harbour.
Finalists in other categories included Jason Fassbender, Marie Cain and Ali Holmes for New Creative Force, whilst Suki Hairdressing, Biba, Wild Life and Head Studio are nominated for Salon Team of the Year.
Also on the table are the awards for New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year; Colour Technician of the Year; Apprentice/Trainee of the Year; Best New Salon Design; Excellence in Salon Marketing; Excellence in Hairdressing Education; Entrepreneur and Photographic Collection of the Year.
Winners of the Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Australian Hairdressing Awards will be announced at a gala extravaganza at the Sydney Convention Centre on Monday 8th June. The awards show is the culmination of three days of fun at the Hair Expo long weekend starting Saturday 6th June.
