Redken’s national Mastery in Motion tour has launched, with some of the most exciting looks in the country delivered by some of the hairdressing industry’s biggest names.

Tracey Hughes, Philip Barwick and Mana Dave took to the stage in Melbourne’s Regent Theatre Plaza Ballroom, presenting to the audience a high impact show of on-trend colour work and inspirational, fashion-focused styling.

The trio explored the potential of Redken Colour, including the recently launched Mahogany Glam collection, Colour Fusion, Shimmer One and Shades EQ. Inspiration for the tour not only came from international fashion, but also from the glam rock era and post war 1940s, delivering a 21st century interpretation of these classic periods.

Blueberry violets, feisty reds, rich mahoganies and flashes of apricot were seen on the tour and they commanded attention as they took centre stage.

Application techniques displayed to the audience included combining soft dimensions, diagonal graduation and contrast. To ensure the colour was unleased to its full potential, the cutting and styling techniques were all about disconnection, asymmetry and high octane glamorous shine.
