THE INSPIRATION:
Smooth and sleek with a high shine finish was the way Alex Grahl for Redken 5th Aveune NYC interpreted the trend for Ready to Wear 5. The style needed to be classic and effortless but still chic and youthful. These timeless tails worked exceptionally well with the fresh-faced models, with intricate accessories adorning the hair.
GET THE LOOK:
STEP 1. Blow-dry hair straight, sweeping the brush back away from the face and all the way through the ends as you go. This will enhance the clean, straight finish of the ponytail.
STEP 2. Spray sections with Redken Fabricate 03 and allow to dry. Use a flat iron to straighten mid lengths and ends. Continue with each section until you’ve completed the whole head.
STEP 3. Pull hair back into a ponytail and secure with an elastic – a trick is to keep the ponytail in line with the nose. To combat flyaways, lightly spray Redken Workforce 09 as you comb the hair back.
STEP 4. Take a small section of the ponytail and spray with Redken Vinyl Glam 02. Wrap it around the elastic and secure with a pin.
