What’s this website about?
myhairdressersearch isn’t just a place where you can find your favourite hairdresser, promote your salon or even show off your talents. It’s an online salon where anyone can find anything and everything to do with hair styling, colouring and cutting. Be it yours or somebody else’s hair, our vision is to enable you to find out what you need to know – quickly and easily.
The only service of its kind in Australia, myhairdressersearch.com is the ultimate way to search for a hairdresser. Simply search by name, suburb and postcode. It’s the ultimate database for hairdressers across the country to be part of and, best of all, it’s FREE! What are we about? We're about connecting the Australian hair community - jump on in.

What can I do on this site?
Loads! Hairdressers, stylists, colourists and salon owners can register so that their details can be found by any consumer hunting down their old hairdresser or simply looking for new inspiration in their local area. The hair community can also look for jobs, education opportunities and training facilities as well as all the latest in news, reviews, trends, best practice and inspiration. And everyone, from hair stylists to consumers and back, can read some of the best hair content now online in Australia – tips, tricks and much, much more.

Why register?
We’re building Australia’s best network of hairdressers and salons. For you, that means all the latest news, views, tips and job opportunities around Australia. It also means instant – FREE – marketing of your name or salon. Why? Because consumers use this site too and, any time they want to look up an old hairdresser or salon or simply find a good one in their local area, they’ll be using this site – which means you need to be on it!

Why do I need a login to access certain sections of the site?
At the moment only hairdressers or salon owners need to login. Once they have registered themselves or their salon to appear in our database of hairdressers and salons, they can edit their details at any time via their login.

Is this a trade or consumer site?
It’s both. myhairdressersearch is for anyone who loves hair and wants to know more, learn more and get more out of it.

I’m having trouble uploading an image. Can you help?
If you’re trying to upload an image for your hairdresser profile the image must be a jpeg, not more than 2MB. The preferred dimensions are: 239 pixels wide x 312 pixels high and portrait. If you don't have an image, we can supply one for you. If you’re still having difficulty, please contact us and we’ll upload for you.
If you’re having difficulty uploading your salon image please keep in mind we would prefer it to be landscape, a jpeg and not exceeding 2MB. Preferred dimension: 285 pixels wide x 190 pixels high. Please contact us if you’re still experiencing difficulty and we will upload for you.

I can’t find my local or favourite hairdresser on this site. What can I do?
Go to the Wanted List on the home page. Here you can note down anything you know about the last known whereabouts of your hairdresser and any other information. When they log on, or a colleague of theirs does, they will then be add their details to the site. So keep checking back to the site to see if they’ve arrived!

I’d like to add a salon or hairdresser to this site. How do I do that?
Register now. At the end of the registration process, we’ll simply ask you to nominate a few friends or colleagues who you think may be interested in myhairdressersearch.com and we’ll email them on your behalf to introduce ourselves.

I’m having technical difficulties with this site. What can I do?
