There’s no doubt that the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be remembered for a long time to come.
And not least because of Drew Barrymore’s fabulous hair and gown.
Drew ditched her girl-next-door image with a brand new cut and style that channelled a little Marilyn Monroe.
Her hair has been a little controversial all over the web, with some fashion and hair bloggers slamming the actress for daring to be a little different.
myhairdressersearch thinks Drew’s hair was a breath of fresh air, on a red carpet full of dead-straight fringes or buns pulled up with a sweeping side fringe. Drew’s look was unique, and nothing had been seen quite like it before.
Her 60s retro hair-do was given a modern edge as it was just messy enough, allowing her trademark playfulness to come through. A cut, colour and style should always suit the client and this do certainly does that.
The slightly messy look was a refreshing antidote to all the slick, polished and quite frankly, predictable dos that were seen on the red carpet.
Without question, Drew showed she could hold her own against red carpet heavyweights such as Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez.
Her look was completed with an off-the-shoulder pale blue gown by John Galliano for Christian Dior along with a red clutch.
