Christian Dior, Paris Fashion Week
Across the Atlantic from the quietly cool Americans, some of the English and
Europeans decided to up the voltage with refreshing shock tactics. While there
were still plenty of shiny and glossy and glamourous looks reminiscent of the runways of the US, the bolder continentals frizzed and fluffed and exaggerated.

Yves Saint Laurent, Paris Fashion Week
The season's dominant fashion trends of vibrant colour, kaleidoscopic pattern
and layered texture were reinforced with over the top hair. At Christian Dior,
Prada, Yves Saint Laurent and Marni, the bun became more of a bird's nest. It
was crimped, back-combed, elongated and coloured for drama, not messy but
structured with the skill of a Bower bird.

John Galliano, Paris Fashion Week
At Louis Vuitton and John Galliano,
the hair ressembled a shock of candy floss, with sky-high quiffs and wedge
shaped pony tails, or gelato coloured wigs that came straight out of Lautrec's
bordellos.

Fendi, Milan Fashion Week
Finest of all at Fendi, hair appeared like a crown of feathers.
Refreshing birds of paradise in a spring of sublime finery.
Check out more hot hair for women.
